No — Transit Stats is optimized for low battery usage. The app polls location data lightly and uses smart polling intervals to stay efficient.

🔐 Is my data private?

Yes. Your ride history and stats are private by default. If you choose, you can make your profile public to appear on the leaderboard or let others view your profile stats.

🎫 Do I need a Ventra account to use this app?

No — Transit Stats works independently. You don't need to connect your Ventra account to use the app.

📱 Do I need to keep the app open while tracking?

No — once you start a ride, Transit Stats can track your trip in the background. You’ll still get accurate time and distance logs without keeping the app on screen.
